'Will lose 7-0', 'Masterclass incoming' - Tottenham fans divided over Pochettino decision v Crystal Palace

By Russell Edge

Tottenham fans have turned to social media to argue over Mauricio Pochettino’s decision to start goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga in their clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Spurs revealed their starting line up against the Eagles via their official Twitter account, which confirmed that the Argentine manage had made five changes from the side which swept aside Real Madrid 3-1 in midweek.

Injured trio Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld and Dele Alli, as well as Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies, are all replaced by Gazzaniga, Danny Rose, Moussa Sissoko, Serge Aurier and Heung-min Son.

In the raft of changes, it was the inclusion of the 25-year-old shot stopper, who has firmly been the club’s third choice between the sticks, who caught the attention of the Tottenham faithful, with Lloris’ understudy Michel Vorm also out injured.

The fans took to Twitter to voice their opinion on the 25-year-old’s inclusion, with it appearing a divisive decision judging from the reaction.
