Tottenham fans fume at ‘unbelievable’ board after James Maddison update

Tottenham fans have called out the board for their lack of signings as the squad has been dealt another injury blow.

According to Spurs expert Paul O’Keefe, James Maddison is set to be out for two to three weeks following a calf injury that forced him to miss the shock defeat against Leicester City on Sunday (26 January).

The 28-year-old is the latest to join Tottenham’s injury list with Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, Guglielmo Vicario, Djed Spence, Dominic Solanke, and Brennan Johnson all out of action at the moment.

The fitness issues at the club have spread the squad thin, adding to Ange Postecoglou’s ongoing problems.

Spurs currently sit 15th in the Premier League table, which has led to fans calling for Daniel Levy to financially back the manager and bring in some more quality to avoid being pulled into a relegation battle.

Postecoglou will be without Maddison for Thursday’s (30 January) Europa League fixture against IF Elfsborg and Sunday’s (2 February) Premier League game against Brentford.

Tottenham fans have called out the board

Spurs fans have been left unimpressed by the injury news and they have blamed the board for the squad being pushed to its limits this season, causing so many frequent injuries.

Tottenham fans have claimed the lack of transfer activity is “negligence” toward those at the club.
