Tottenham fans rage at ‘horrible’ Djed Spence after what he did v West Ham
Tottenham fans have been left raging at Djed Spence after his performance during their Premier League clash v West Ham at the London Stadium.
Ange Postecoglou’s side drew 1-1 away from home after first-half goals from Wilson Odobert and Jarrod Bowen ultimately decided the game.
The second half was a dull affair, with the visitors’ already turning their attention to a crucial Europa League semi-final second leg against Bodo/Glimt.
However, that did little to prevent the travelling fans’ frustration as Spurs’ winless Premier League run was extended to four games – with just two wins in 10.
Most of those frustrations on the day were directed at Spence, who returned to the starting XI in place of Destiny Udogie as Postecoglou opted to rotate.
The full-back, who had previously become a fan-favourite in North London, turned in another underwhelming display which has seen him labelled “lazy”.

Spence to benefit from Man City transfer latest
Football Insider revealed in May 2024 that Tottenham planned to accept bids for Spence as he was not a part of Postecoglou’s first-team plans for the future.
However, his performances this season have worked him back into the reckoning and while he is not the first-choice, he remains a valuable squad player.
Speculation about the futures of Man City-linked Pedro Porro and Udogie, Spence could be presented with the opportunity for more regular game time next season.
However, he will have to do more to show he deserves a spot in the starting XI as fans have been concerned by his attitude of late.
Tottenham fans slam Djed Spence v West Ham
Fans previously labelled Spence “unbelievable” after his display against Man United in February, which came during his best form since joining the club in 2022.
However, he has since dropped out of the starting XI with injured players returning, and some have suggested that he has not responded positively to the move.
Taking to social media in the wake of the 1-1 draw with West Ham, supporters expressed their frustrations as they labelled him “horrible” and “awful”.
