Tottenham fans were left delighted on social media with the performance of Serge Aurier in the club’s win over Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.
Second half goals from Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son were enough to cancel out a first half strike from Pierre Emerick Aubemeyang and secure the three points, which ensures that Spurs progress as group winners, with no defeats in their five games this season.
However, while he was not on the scoresheet, it was the performance of speed machine Aurier which caught the eye of the Tottenham faithful, as he returned to the starting line up in place of Kieran Trippier.
His constant threat down the right flank, as well as his solid display in defence had fans raving on Twitter, with many stating that it was the summer arrival’s very best game in a Spurs shirt to date.
Here, Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the supporters’ best Tweets:

Aurier again showing he has an abundance of talent, if he can stay focused and be more disciplined. Poch will have been working with him and you can see the difference.

So far Aurier has ten appearances under his belt for the Lilywhites, and is yet to find the back of the net for his new club, but will be hoping to keep his place in the starting XI when Spurs play West Brom on Saturday.
In other Tottenham news, Martin Keown has said the club are risking a major break up of their top stars.
