Tottenham fans react to Davinson Sanchez display against Everton
By Harry Sykes
Davinson Sanchez made his full Tottenham debut in their 3-0 win at Everton on Saturday – and fans took to Twitter to hail his performance.
Spurs secured an impressive triumph at Goodison Park through a Harry Kane double and a Christian Eriksen strike.
It lifted Mauricio Pochettino’s side to fifth in the hail with seven points from four matches as they bounced back from dropping five points out of a possible six at Wembley.
Intriguingly, Pochettino tweaked his system to incorporate club-record signing Davinson Sanchez despite the team having the league’s best defensive record last season.
Sanchez slotted in between Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen in a three-man backline, with full-backs Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies pushed forwards.

Supporters were mightily impressed by the display of the £42million signing from Ajax as Tottenham kept a clean sheet.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Suffice it to say a defence of Vertonghen, Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez is absolutely mouth-watering #COYS

It was Sanchez’s first start for Spurs after being a late substitute in the team’s 1-1 draw against Burnley prior to the international break.
