Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Lamela performance against Brighton
Tottenham fans have raved about Erik Lamela after he made his first start in over a year in the 2-0 win against Brighton at Wembley on Wednesday night.
Lamela, 25, had been sidelined with a serious hip injury which resulted in him going under the knife on numerous occasions to get him back playing in Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
He had made three appearances off the bench before Wednesday’s victory over Brighton, and fans on Twitter were delighted to see the Argentina international back.

Lamela has made four appearances in the Premier League since returning from his long-term lay-off in November, supplying an assist on his return in the 2-1 loss at Leicester.
Last season, the former Roma attacker was in blistering form before his devastating blow and had made 14 appearances in all contests, scoring two goals and supplying a brilliant seven assists.

Spurs ensured their winning ways would continue against Brighton on Wednesday.
Goals from Serge Aurier and Heung-min Son were enough to earn Pochettino’s men all three points.
Next up for Tottenham is a testing clash against table toppers Manchester City at the weekend.
