Lamela is on course for a playing return this month as he completes the rehabilitation on his injured hip.
It is not known when the international will be available for selection, although the fixtures will come thick and fast over the coming weeks.
The earliest date he could return is Saturday home clash against Bournemouth, although the Champions League trip to Real Madrid three days later and the showdown against Liverpool at Wembley on 22 October are more likely possibilities.
Spurs fans are looking forward to the imminent return of Lamela, as some predicted as he could make a big impact in the team.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Lamela is basically a new signing for us when he returns. A real boost to the squad. TBH I had to google who Rose was???? #COYS

Lamela has made 117 appearances for the club since signing from Roma, and he will be hoping that he can add to that total before the end of the year.
