Tottenham fans have taken to social media to react to news that Liverpool’s Sadio Mane has been ruled out of the two clubs’ clash later this month.

The Reds confirmed on both their official Twitter account and the club’s official website that the Senegal international picked up a hamstring injury while playing for his country, and will be ruled out of action for up the six weeks.

The injury layoff means that the 25-year-old will be missing for some of the club’s most important fixtures, including their clash with Manchester United and their Champions League tie against Maribor.

With Jurgen Klopp’s side set to visit Wembley later this month, Mane is set to sit out the Reds’ clash with Spurs, and fans of the Lilywhites could not hold back their excitement.

They turned to Twitter to voice how much of an impact they thought his absence would have, and imagined how relieved left back Ben Davies would be feeling.
