Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele, Danny Rose and Moussa Sissoko have been ruled out of Tottenham’s Champions League clash against CSKA Moscow on Tuesday – and supporters on Twitter have labelled the tie in Russia as “difficult”.
The senior quartet are all sidelined for the Group E clash in Russia due to injury.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino told the official Tottenham Twitter account on Monday afternoon that Dier, Dembele, Rose, Sissoko and Harry Kane have not travelled with the senior squad to Moscow due to injury.
Tottenham supporters expressed that the assignment against the Russian club will be tough without their senior players.
However, other fans stated that they were confident ahead of the tie, despite the crushing injury news.
Furthermore, the White Hart Lane faithful were also concerned about the big Premier League fixture against Manchester City on Sunday hoping that the likes of Dier, Dembele and Sissoko are fit for that clash.
Pochettino’s side are seeking their first win of the Champions League campaign, after losing their opening fixture 2-1 to Monaco at Wembley.
Here is a selection of messages on Twitter from Tottenham fans on the players that will be missing for the CSKA clash.
