Tottenham fans react on Twitter after Vertonghen injury message
By Amir Mir
Jan Vertonghen has stated that he is “gutted” to be out injured for Tottenham – and fans on Twitter have wished the defender a speedy recovery.
The 29-year-old went off with an ankle injury during Spurs’ 4-0 win against West Brom at the weekend.
As a result of his injury, Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur claimed on his personal Twitter account that the highly-rated centre-back could be out until March.
There's no exact time frame, as some players recover faster from ligament injuries. Though, Vertonghen could be out for around 2 months.

The Belgian has partnered Toby Alderweireld at the heart of the club’s defence this season and one fan believes Vertonghen has been a rock during that time.
Overall, the Spurs supporters were gutted to see Vertonghen out of action as they wished him a speedy and successful recovery.
