Tottenham fans react on Twitter as Man United reportedly interested in signing senior duo

By Amir Mir

Manchester United are reported to be interested in signing Kyle Walker and Danny Rose – but Tottenham fans on Twitter have laughed the news off.

The Sun claims that Jose Mourinho is preparing a £60million move for the Spurs senior duo and is set to rival Manchester City for their signature.

Fans on social media have brushed off the reported interest though and feel that Mourinho has no chance of landing their men.

The Spurs faithful believe Walker and Rose are worth at least £60 million each, rather than the combined fee that is reported in the paper.

One supporter was angry at the news and urged the north London outfit to keep hold of their star players, including Dele Alli.

While another fan believes if the England internationals were to leave for United then Portuguese manager Mourinho would not be able to get the best out of them.

One supporter stated that manager Mauricio Pochettino would walk away if they were sold as they are his favourite players.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Right-back Walker has played 22 Premier League and Champions League games for the title chasers this season, supplying four assists in the league and helping keep eight clean sheets in all.

By contrast, left-back Rose has played 18 games in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing four assists and helping secure seven clean sheets.
