Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Moussa Sissoko display against Hull
By Harry Sykes
Moussa Sissoko was recalled to the Tottenham starting XI for their 3-0 win over Hull on Wednesday – and supporters on Twitters hailed his performance.
The £30million summer signing from Newcastle played 85 minutes of the clash at White Hart Lane, as a Christian Eriksen double and late Victor Wanyama strike secured the three points for the home side.
Sissoko has been heavily criticised by supporters, and even his own manager, since his move to north London and has failed to score or register an assist in 13 appearances for the club.
But Tottenham fans were encouraged by his display against relegation battlers Hull after he was recalled to the team in place of Son Heung-Min.
In his first start since the 1-0 Champions League defeat to Bayer Leverkusen on 2 November, Sissoko made a series of strong, driving runs from his wide attacking midfield role.

He also linked up well with his teammates in Mauricio Pochettino’s new 3-4-3 formation and the White Hart Lane faithful expressed their admiration afterwards.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Sissoko’s movement off the ball was quality tonight. First half especially, he made some great runs #coys

So Sissoko did alright tonight. Let’s not get to carried away but maybe, just maybe there’s a player in there after all. #COYS

If I hadn’t seen so much poor play from sissoko I’d be more excited by his performance tonight, he can however run with the ball #coys

Maybe it’s time for Poch to drop Alli onto the bench as his not performing, Sissoko and Winks are knocking on the door at the moment #COYS

Tottenham’s eighth league win of their season consolidated their grip on fifth position and keeps them within three points of fourth-placed Manchester City.
Pochettino’s side have accumulated 30 points from their 16 league matches this season, although they are 10 adrift of leaders Chelsea.
In other Tottenham news, this is why Spurs must make a January swoop for the final player recommended by Paul Mitchell.
