Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Trippier snub v Bournemouth
By Matt Farr
Kieran Trippier has been dropped from the Tottenham starting eleven to face Bournemouth on Saturday – and fans on Twitter believe the axe is undeserved.
The 26-year-old defender was withdrawn from the starting line-up to accommodate the return of Kyle Walker, who takes up his familiar role at right-back for the home side.
Tottenham announced their confirmed line-up on their official Twitter account ahead of kick-off, with Harry Kane also returning in place of Vincent Janssen.

Walker has been the first choice full-back at White Hart Lane this season, earning 33 appearances in all competitions.
However, Trippier has done exceptionally well during Walker’s recent absence, and bagged an assist during the 4-0 rout of Watford last time out.

Therefore, fans were understandably disappointed to see him start on the bench against Bournemouth.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
#COYS trippier was fantastic v Watford. Why drop him for walker.

I'm sure #spurs fans will give Wilshere a warm welcome to the lane! Trippier very unlucky not to be starting in my opinion

Harsh on Trippier getting dropped. He's been very patient this season and should probably look for a move elsewhere this summer. #COYS

Trippier not starting? Better offensively than walker! Better end product! Better defensively! Man of the match last week? @SpursOfficial ????

Trippier has made just 16 first team appearances for Tottenham this season, including only seven appearances in the Premier League.
He has started just three of his seven league appearances, with the majority of his appearances coming during the second half of the campaign.
The former Burnley man had only seen 11 minutes of Premier League action between August and January, in what was a frustrating period playing second-fiddle to Walker.
In other Tottenham news, fans have also delivered their verdicts on Victor Wanyama’s selection on the bench.
