'Bummer', 'Shame for us' - Tottenham fans react as key player to miss clash v Arsenal reportedly

By Richard Parks
Tottenham fans took to social media to share their disappointment that Petr Cech is a major doubt for Saturday’s north London derby against Arsenal.
The Telegraph claim that the veteran goalkeeper is in line to miss the crunch clash after hobbling out of the Gunners’ 5-1 win over Everton last weekend with a calf injury.
It is said that manager Arsene Wenger does not expect to be able to call upon Cech, 35, for the Saturday lunchtime kick-off and that David Ospina is likely to make his first league start of the season.
Former Chelsea man Cech has started all 26 of Arsenal’s Premier League fixtures this season, conceding 35 goals and keeping nine clean sheets.
Ospina, 29, has been used almost exclusively in cup competitions during the three years since his experienced teammate joined the club.
However, Tottenham fans on social media believe the potential absence of Cech, who was once rated as one of the finest keepers in the world during his Chelsea days, is a blow to them rather than their bitter rivals.
The prevailing view is that the Czech international is not the safe pair of hands that he once was, with many pointing at his recent form as evidence of his decline.
