Tottenham fans have taken to social media to blast the selection of Moussa Sissoko in the starting XI for their clash against Apoel Nicosia.
The French international midfielder has been a key part of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad this season and has appeared in all eight of their matches across all competitions so far.
He is set to start for the Lilywhites yet again on Tuesday in Cyprus, although some fans have been less than happy about his selection.
The club revealed the starting XI via their official Twitter account:

Fans have taken to Twitter to blast Pochettino’s decision to start the 28-year-old, with many questioning the midfielder’s ability to operate in an attacking role.
Here, Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the supporters’ best tweets:
We seriously need to stop picking Sissoko

Well, Sissoko can't complain he isn't getting a fair chance. Another start #Spurs

Yep : untried team combination. I'm hoping Sissoko really does shine tonight. We will need it https://t.co/0TXlJDgzBF

However, there was at least one fan who showed faith in the French midfielder.
Sissoko’s constant inclusion this season has come as a surprise after he was branded a flop last season, but Mauricio Pochettino has had his arm twisted by an injury crisis in midfield.
Both Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele have been in the treatment room, while Christian Eriksen misses out on the Champions League tie with an illness.
England man Eric Dier and 21-year-old Harry Winks are also included, with the duo likely to line up in the middle of the park, meaning an advanced role for Sissoko.
In other Tottenham news, Dele Alli’s future is set to be discussed over the coming days.
