Tottenham fans react to Sissoko display against Crystal Palace
By Harry Sykes
Moussa Sissoko was introduced at half-time in Tottenham’s 1-0 Premier League win against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night – and fans took to Twitter to deliver mixed views on his performance.
The France international was one of two players brought on as part of a half-time double substitution, with Son Heung-Min also coming off the bench.
The attacking midfield pair replaced central midfield duo Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele as manager Mauricio Pochettino changed the team’s shape from 3-5-1-1 to 4-1-4-1 in an attempt to add more thrust to the side.
The move paid dividends as Spurs secured the victory they needed to keep the pressure on league leaders Chelsea, thanks to a magnificent long-range strike from Christian Eriksen.
Spurs fans took to Twitter in their droves to reflect on the performance of £30million man Sissoko, who has been heavily criticised since his transfer from Newcastle last summer.

Some praised the Frenchman for playing an important role in a much-needed win against in-form opposition, while others claimed it was another disappointing display that contributed little.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Sissoko plays like the kid at your son’s U14 club who is no good at all but always goes training so must get a run out on occasions #COYS

Spurs’ win means they are back to within four points of Chelsea, who beat Southampton 4-2 at home 24 hours earlier.
The north Londoners are next in action on Sunday when they host Arsenal in the north London derby.
In other Tottenham transfer news, the club have terminated the contract of one of their emerging stars plucked from overseas.
