Tottenham fans savage senior man after defeat to Chelsea (not Son)
By Harry Sykes
Tottenham fans took to Twitter to savage Mauricio Pochettino for selecting Son Heung-Min in defence in their team’s FA Cup 4-2 defeat to Chelsea.
The Spurs manager sprung a huge surprise when he axed Ben Davies and started Son at left wing-back for the semi-final showdown.
It was a decision that the Tottenham faithful were left to rue as Son conceded the first-half penalty shortly before half-time that enabled Chelsea to go into the break with a 2-1 advantage.
A Willian double and late strikes from Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matic were enough to secure Chelsea a place in the final against either Arsenal or Manchester City, who go head to head on Sunday.
Spurs were impressive and goals from Harry Kane and Dele Alli helped them to draw level at 2-2 but, ultimately, Chelsea had too much resilience.

Tottenham fans heaped the blame more on Pochettino than anyone else as the decision to start Son at the back soon backfired.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Poch I love you but you need to take your share of the blame, Son was a massive massive error.Besides that it’s just not gone our way! #COYS

Wembley curse or weak mentality? Our defense looked really poor tonight. Son at lwb did not help us at all either. #COYS

Spurs’ dream of a league and cup double is over but they have been given a real glimmer of hope in the title race by Chelsea’s recent stutters in which they have lost two of their last four matches.
Tottenham will resume action in the league in midweek aiming to narrow the gap on Chelsea to less than four points.
In other Tottenham team news, the club have sensationally terminated the contract of one of their defenders.
