'FFS', 'He's going', 'Another one leaves' - Tottenham fans despair at journalist transfer update
By Richard Parks
Tottenham are working quickly on tying Christian Eriksen to a new contract amid concern he could be seduced by interest – and Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to express their despair.
Spurs correspondent Marc Benamram reported on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday night that Eriksen’s situation is a tricky one for the club as he enters the final two years of his current deal this summer.
Benamram claims that the north Londoners are “moving swiftly” to end doubts about the Denmark international’s future by agreeing a long-term contract.
Whilst #THFC are not open to the idea of selling Eriksen, the situation is somewhat complicated by the player only having 2 years left on his current contract.

This comes amid reports, including from the Sun, that the attacking midfielder, 26, wants “parity” with some of the English top flight’s top earners after taking his game to a new level this season.
A section of Tottenham fans have taken to social media to express their concern at the prospect of losing Eriksen, with comments including “he’s going” and “another one leaves” amid doubts over the futures of the likes of Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose.

Another one they’ve left a pay rise to late on
Top players need regular pay rises – Eriksen signed his deal Sep 2016 – and in the last 18 months he moved on to a different level

Heard it all before…we start moving with the times and paying players what they are worth or they leave. Simple.

Is there anyone not being sold? Dembele Toby and now Eriksen. We might have to take the field at the new stadium.

Eriksen has been in outstanding form for Spurs and it is said that he is aware of interest from top clubs across the globe.
The Denmark international has added a greater goal threat to his game this season, which has yielded 14 goals and 11 assists from 41 matches, and was named on Wednesday in the PFA Premier League team of the season.
