'Watch another sport', 'No idea' - Tottenham fans divided over impending transfer exit claim
Tottenham fans have been left divided on social media after a claim that striker Fernando Llorente is set for the exit door during the summer transfer window.
The London Evening Standard have claimed on their website that the Spanish forward, who arrived in north London from fellow Premier League side Swansea City last summer, is not set to start against his former side on Saturday despite Harry Kane’s injury and that he is destined to leave a year after joining.
It is said that Heung-min Son is set to take over the centre forward role from the England striker, after Llorente’s disappointing campaign which has seen him net five goals in 28 appearances, although prior to his hat trick against Rochdale, his last appearance, he had scored just two in 27 outings.
With the Lilywhites now left fighting for a top four place in the Premier League, the FA Cup is their only hope of silverware, and it appears as though Son’s impressive recent form in front of goal has earned him the nod over the 33-year-old striker.
However, supporters were left divided over Llorente’s potential exit on Twitter, with some fans believing it would be the right decision while others feel his experience and attitude means he still has something to offer.
Here, Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the supporters’ best tweets:

It’s hardly been a secret that Poch has limited faith in Llorente, he just doesn’t fit with how Tottenham play and the team has no idea how to beat utilise him.

Well that was quick

If you're concerned that Llorente might leave this summer you should watch another sport #THFC #COYS

Always sad to see such a good professional like him go. He did wasted his chances but still. I like him a lot tbh.

Compared to our last two back-ups, as of now, I may be dumb to say this but im satisfied with his efforts this campaign. Yes, he may not be as clinical as we hoped but hes a great team player and gives all he can. His experience will do wonders for the team going forward.

Understandable that Llorente will be off in the summer, (unless he does something between now and then)
Maybe time we just binned off the 2nd striker and play Son up front if Harry is ever injured, or play a front 3 with Dele & Coco which looked good the other day #COYS #THFC— Kevin Gower™ (@KGower83) March 13, 2018
any team would be glad to take him his pretty good Kane has just outshined him so badly
