Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Chelsea winning the Premier League title

Chelsea beat West Brom 1-0 on Friday night at the Hawthorns to secure the Premier League title – and Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter.

Unlikely hero, Michy Batshuayi came off the bench to score the winning goal for his team late in the second half.

It was a frustrating night for Chelsea as was proven by the performance of one of their star players, Eden Hazard.

The Belgium international was taken off late in the second period after he failed to break down a tough Albion defence.

However, manager Antonio Conte opted to bring on striker Batshuayi for winger Pedro as the Belgium international sent the away supporters into jubilation with his scrappy goal.

Conte’s team will now prepare for a home clash against Watford on Monday night after they were beaten at Everton on Friday.

Tottenham fans congratulated their rivals for their title win as they looked forward to the next campaign where they will be hoping to clinch the crown.

Furthermore, others stated that they should now focus their attention on the weekend and the final matches of the season.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Spurs will take on Manchester United on Sunday afternoon in what will be one of the biggest games in their history.

The reason being it is set to be their final match to be played at White Hart Lane as supporters will be hoping to have a good send off.

During their reverse fixture, United beat the north London club 1-0, but this time around Jose Mourinho’s team could be a lot different.

The Manchester club played La Liga outfit Celta Vigo in the Europa League semi-final clash on Thursday night as a number of injuries have hit Mourinho’s side.

Added to that, he made eight changes during his last Premier League match when they were beaten 2-0 at Arsenal.
