Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Davies display v Everton
By Harvey Byrne
Ben Davies played the full 90 minutes in Tottenham’s 3-2 victory over Everton on Sunday afternoon – and Spurs fans were delighted with his performance.
The 23-year-old full-back is currently filling in for Danny Rose in the left wing-back role due to the latter’s injury.
The England international’s boots are certainly hard to fill, especially with his impressive displays from this campaign and Davies has often come in for some criticism.
However, it was not the same on Sunday as he performed both his attacking and defensive duties to a high level at White Hart Lane.
A number of supporters on social media were keen to comment that it was the best they had seen from Davies in a Tottenham shirt, while one even shared he could be the man of the match.

Jan's played like Franz Beckenbeur today, also best I've seen Davies play for us, offered genuine threat & outlet today.

Perhaps too often a scapegoat, Ben Davies has had the best half I've seen him play for Spurs.

Davies has been at Tottenham since joining from Swansea in the summer of 2014.
He has played in 78 fixtures for the north London club in total and of those, 21 have come in this current campaign which sees Spurs nestling in second place.
Fans and Davies himself will now be keen to continue impressing as they still hold aspirations of challenging Chelsea at the top.
