Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Hugo Lloris display for France

By Will Butcher

Tottenham fans were mightily impressed with goalkeeper Hugo Lloris on Twitter after he recorded a clean sheet against Holland on Monday night.

Lloris captained France as they saw off Danny Blind’s side 1-0 in a World Cu qualifier win secured by Paul Pogba’s long-range strike.

Former Lyon goalkeeper Lloris looked calm and assured between the sticks for France, as his side saw out a late onslaught lead by Tottenham teammate Vincent Janssen.

The win pushes France level on points with Group A leaders Sweden in the 2018 World Cup qualifying phase, as they sit ahead of the likes of Luxembourg, Bulgaria and Belarus.

Spurs fans were impressed with Lloris, with many remaining unsurprised by his consistency at the highest level.
