Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Moussa Sissoko display v West Brom

By Harvey Byrne

Moussa Sissoko started the match for Tottenham against West Brom on Saturday – and fans were left disappointed with his performance on Twitter.

The France international was on the right side of an attacking midfield quartet for Spurs with Vincent Janssen leading the line.

Sissoko played for 65 minutes during Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with West Brom before being brought off for Mousa Dembele

Spurs fans took to social media to heckle Sissoko, with many wanting him off the pitch sooner and one fan described his performance as “anonymous”.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Sissoko, 27, moved to White Hart Lane in the summer from Newcastle in a £30million deal.

However, he has not impressed the Spurs support, failing to live up to his mega price-tag after six appearances for the club and no goals.

Spurs are now sat in third place with 18 points after their opening eight fixtures in the Premier League.

They will face a tie against German side Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday in the Champions League.

In other Tottenham team news, fans reacted on Twitter to Eric Dier’s omission from the line-up against West Brom.
