Nabil Bentaleb started for Schalke in the Thursday evening clash against FC Krasnodar and Tottenham fans took to Twitter to show their acknowledgement of his impressive form.
The 21-year-old played 58 minutes in the Bundesliga side’s midfield and managed to get on the score sheet as his side completed a 2-0 victory.
The goal marked his fourth goal in five matches, which one fan pointed that the entire Spurs team had scored half the amount in as many matches.
A number of supporters took to social media to comment on his good form, while their own side is currently struggling.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Bentaleb scored 3 goals in the last 4 matches for Schalke, the same amount of goals #THFC scored in the same time… Wow

I don't care one bit what Bentaleb does in a Schalke kit, for us he was a liability with a bad attitude who couldn't make a 5 yard pass.

The arrogant Spurs fans saying we don't need Bentaleb as if we didn't just bring on Harry Winks in a Champions League game

The midfielder completed a season-long deal to the Bundesliga after struggling to get match time with Tottenham in the last campaign which saw him play in just 11 fixtures for the club.
However, he has taken to life in Germany well making 13 appearances and scoring four goals for the club.
Spurs are currently going through a poor run of form having not picked up a victory in any of their last six matches in all competitions.
In other Tottenham news, Victor Wanyama believes that Spurs players must stick together through a difficult period.
