Tottenham fans rip Arsenal’s Giroud on Twitter after Euro miss
By Tom Blackburn
With the scores at 0-0 in Germany vs France, Olivier Giroud went through one-on-one with Manuel Neuer but took too long and was caught by the German defender Benedikt Höwedes.
A lack of pace and decisiveness instantly saw fans take to Twitter to rip the Arsenal striker.
Giroud is playing alongside Antoine Greizmann, having been picked ahead of Man United striker Anthony Martial, and has had a good Euro 2016 so far.
He scored the opening goal of the tournament before West Ham’s Dimitri Payet bagged the winner in France’s opening game against Romania, and in their quarter-final he scored twice to knock out Iceland.
The Arsenal frontman is fighting to prove his worth at the Gunners, with the North London club looking to bring in a new striker.

They agreed terms with Leicester for English star Jamie Vardy and he had a medical before deciding to sign a new contract with the Foxes.
Giroud has scored an impressive 57 times in the Premier League for Arsenal in 135 appearances.
He may have an impressive strike rate but fans have pounced on the opportunity to mock his poor finishing in the semi-final on Twitter… even if Griezmann scored before the break to give France the lead.
