Tottenham fans will be thrilled by what Kane's said after 'exciting' news - pundit
Noel Whelan has suggested Nuno Espirito Santo will have Tottenham supporters buzzing thanks to his “exciting” brand of football.
The former Leeds United striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested players and fans alike would appreciate the Portuguese manager’s desire to strike a balance between attack and defence.
Speaking to talkSPORT (July 5th), Harry Kane heralded the style of football played by Wolves under his new club boss.
He insisted the 47-year-old is a “great manager” and revealed there was a sense of “excitement” around Spurs.
Nuno joined Tottenham after leaving Wolves at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
Whelan suggested the new boss would bring a blend of defensive resoluteness and attacking flair to north London.

He insisted fans should be excited by his appointment after the club’s much-criticised manager hunt.
Whelan told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “What you get from Nuno, it is no secret. Defensively, he is very assured. He likes to work defensively but he is also very attacking-minded.
“Look at the players that he had in that front line at Wolves. They were attacking and exciting to watch but very disciplined in their defensive performances.
“I think you’re going to get a nice 50/50 balance there of the exciting football that Tottenham fans want to watch back again. I think that’s the important thing.
“It’s bringing that Tottenham style back into the club again that you didn’t have under Mourinho.
“You will get that but you’ll also get a better defensive side to the game and 50/50 balance. He’ll want them to express themselves and that’s why Kane is excited.”
