West Brom winger Nacer Chadli is earning £25,000-a-week more than Chelsea icon John Terry, according to a report.
The Telegraph claim that Chadli is raking in £75,000-a-week at the Hawthorns, which is the same as fellow top earners Salomon Rondon and Jonny Evans.
It is is said that the pay packets of the trio comfortably exceeds that of Stamford Bridge skipper Terry, who collects £50,000-a-week after taking a pay cut last year.
Chadli’s mega earnings will raise eyebrows at Tottenham, whom he quit last summer in a £13million move to West Brom after failing to command a regular starting role under Mauricio Pochettino last season.
The Belgium international, 27, grew frustrated with his bit-part role and left White Hart Lane three years after joining from Dutch club FC Twente.
Chadli will be regarded by many at Tottenham as a flop signing but has been a mainstay under Tony Pulis at West Brom this season, scoring five goals and supplying five assists from 31 league matches.
The Telegraph report that Pulis is exploring the possibility of signing Terry when his contract expires at Chelsea next month.
Terry is Chelsea’s most decorated player, having won five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, the Champions League and the Europa League.
He has made over 700 appearances for the club since making his debut in 1998 but could make his final league appearance in Sunday’s home game against Sunderland.
In other Tottenham transfer news, the club have opened shock talks to sign a Barcelona icon who has had a storming season.
