Tottenham have agreed to re-sign Real Madrid midfielder Gareth Bale this summer according to Don Balon in Spain and it is news that if proven true will send supporters wild.
The Welsh international left White Hart Lane in 2013 for the La Liga giants and after initially succeeding at the Spanish giants he has dropped down in the rankings at the Bernabeu through injuries and lack of form, to the point where the 28-year-old reportedly wants a move away from Spain.
As claimed by Sport, Bayern Munich are reported to be one of the front-runners for his signature as the German champions look to replace Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben with the duo out of contract with the club this summer.
It would be a sensational move for the Los Blancos attacker who is said by the Guardian to earn a reported £288,000-a-week in Spain, particularly with the Lilywhites known to be unwilling to stretch to the kinds of wages that the 28-year-old is currently earning.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are crying out for a fresh face down the left wing but with the injury concerns the player suffers with, whether he would fit into Spurs squad is questionable.
Here is a selection of Twitter reactions from Spurs supporters who can’t wait to see the Welshman return:

I 100% totally believe Bale is coming back….
but what Levy is not telling us is that, Kane, Ali & Eriksen are going the other way.

Will love to see this but will wait until the club announces it. Remember Rafael van der Vaart??

As amazing as that would be, I can't see it happening.
