Medical expert: ‘Something has to change’ at Tottenham after Ryan Sessegnon update
Tottenham need to change their approach to Ryan Sessegnon after he suffered his fourth hamstring injury of the season.
That is the view of injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Sessegnon, 21, was substituted off with his latest thigh issue at half-time in Spurs’ eventual 5-0 win against Everton last Monday (7 March).

As quoted by the Daily Mail last Thursday (10 March), Antonio Conte stated: “Maybe we’ll see him after the international break.”
The wing-back’s current setback is not a major concern but Spurs will be desperate to get to the bottom of his hamstring issues, claims Dinnery.
“The main concern isn’t this setback, which looks to be a relatively minor concern,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“However, it is the fourth hamstring setback he has had this season. He has been dogged for a few years now with this problem.
“Every time he gets a decent run in the team, he seems to break down and have a setback.
“The difficulty is pinpointing why exactly this is happening. Something needs to change and be worked on to mitigate any future risk.
“That is the big question and the difficulty for the medical department, making sure he stays fit when he does return.”

Sessegnon has supplied one assist in 15 appearances this season.
He will be absent as 8th-place Spurs travel to face Brighton tomorrow evening (16 March).
