Tottenham have ‘serious concerns’ after Randal Kolo Muani suffers ‘major’ injury
Tottenham have endured a mixed start to the season so far under Thomas Frank with frustrations beginning to rise after their recent dip in form.
Frank’s side drew 2-2 with Man United at the weekend, despite having led 2-1 until the 96th minute, meaning they have now won just one of their last four league games.
Aside from the result, however, more concerns have emerged from the defeat after Randal Kolo Muani was substituted off with a fractured jaw after half time.
Tottenham expect to be missing Kolo Muani for around eight weeks, but it could be a number of months if he requires surgery on what is a major injury.
This has only added to Frank‘s frustrations, with key players spending lengthy spells on the sidelines already plaguing him in the early days of his Spurs career.

Tottenham concerned after Randal Kolo Muani injury blow
Kolo Muani has made just eight appearances for Tottenham so far, having missed the start of the season with a muscle injury, and will now be ruled out again.
Alongside Dominic Solanke undergoing surgery on his ankle last month, Spurs are in a difficult situation with regard to their attacking options and now have serious concerns.
That is according to former Tottenham and Man United senior scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the club could now be forced to spend on a new striker in January.
“Tottenham are going to have to look at signing a striker,” he told Football Insider.
“I think they’ll have serious concerns about the issues they’ve had up front, both with the players who have been injured and the ones who haven’t performed.
“If you’re aiming to be successful, as Tottenham are, you need a striker who can score you goals.
“They don’t have that, like I say whether it’s due to injuries or whatever, but it’s a problem for them.
“Now Kolo Muani looks to have picked up another major injury, I think they’re going to have to have a look at what’s available to them in January.

“I think he will also be a concern for them because this is the second injury he’s had since arriving in the summer, although this one isn’t a muscle injury.
“Who that might be, I don’t know, but it’s definitely a position where they need to strengthen.”
This comes after Brown told Football Insider that Tottenham could be forced to sign a striker if they lose another, with Kolo Muani’s injury now forcing their hand.
Tottenham plan to sign new striker in January
Given their issues finding a regular goalscorer so far this season, Tottenham have been linked with a number of big-name strikers who could resolve their concerns.
Football Insider revealed on 11 October that Porto striker Samu Aghehowa is on Tottenham’s radar, with scouts keeping a close eye on his performances.
Meanwhile, Tottenham were also linked with Harry Kane amid speculation that he could be set to leave Bayern Munich thanks to a release clause which becomes active in 2026.

Crystal Palace star Jean-Philippe Mateta is also on Spurs’ radar, although Palace are understood to be reluctant to let their star player leave in the near future.
As a result, Football Insider revealed on 22 October that Tottenham will struggle to sign a striker in January and may be forced to stick with their current options.
