Tottenham idol cites Fikayo Tomori after journalist’s transfer update
Paul Robinson has claimed Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga could follow in the footsteps of Fikayo Tomori if he joined AC Milan this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said Tomori, 24, has “become an all-round better player” during his time in Italy.
Tanganga, 23, struggled for regular game time in the 2021-22 campaign, in part due to a knee injury sustained at the end of January.

According to The Athletic‘s Charlie Eccleshare (8 July), Bournemouth have been in talks to sign the versatile centre-back on loan.
Serie A giants AC Milan and Napoli are also said to be monitoring the situation.
When asked by Football Insider if a move to Italy could be beneficial for Tanganga’s development, Robinson said: “Tomori has gone over there and become a better player.
“Most players improve with more game time but Tomori has improved so quickly. He really has become a better all-round player at AC Milan during his time there.
“You’d like to think that if Tanganga went over there for a season and played regularly, that we would see a similar improvement.”
Tomori joined AC Milan from Chelsea in June 2021 for a fee of around £25million after a successful loan spell at the San Siro.
The centre-back has made 62 appearances for AC Milan in total and helped the club to the Serie A title last season.
In other news, Kieran Maguire has suggested Tottenham could be lining up a stadium expansion amid £48m a reveal.
