Tottenham idol issues verdict on ‘big deal’ after journalist’s Chelsea-Harry Kane transfer update
Bayern Munich could be an attractive proposition for Tottenham striker Harry Kane next season.
That is the view of former White Hart Lane number one Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 28-year-old’s future in north London.
As shown on Sky Sports (23 July), Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann opened the door on a move for Kane during a pre-season press conference.
He said said the England captain would “score a lot in the Bundesliga” before claiming “we will see what happens in the future.”
According to Bild’s Christian Falk (26 July), Chelsea would also be interested in signing Kane next summer.
The centre-forward has two years remaining on his contract at Spurs.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of Kane’s future, Robinson said: “I think the temptation with Bayern would be the promise of guaranteed silverware.
“He would most likely win the league and would have a real chance in the Champions League as well.
“Antonio Conte’s is building at Spurs though. He has done so much in the short time he has been there.
“I think Harry will be there for another one or two seasons. He seems a lot more secure than he was 12 months ago.
“Should things not go well this season and should Conte leave next year, the situation could change. That would open up the Kane question again.
“At the moment, I imagine he is settled at Spurs. I’m sure he will give Spurs at least another season.

“A lot depends on Conte. It would be a big deal if it was ever to be done.
“There is a real air of optimism at Spurs this season though.”
