‘Tottenham in pole position to sign Noni Madueke as Chelsea exit certain’
Noni Madueke is growing more likely to leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window amid interest from both Tottenham and Aston Villa.
That is according to former Spurs and Villa scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected at his former clubs, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the 23-year-old will “certainly” be open to offers when the season ends.
Tottenham are believed to be the front-runners for Madueke as things stand and feel they can convince him to make the move across London.
Villa, meanwhile, want to sign Madueke after the success of Marcus Rashford since his arrival on loan from Man United in January.
This comes after Football Insider revealed that Enzo Maresca has concerns about Madueke’s attitude and whether he fits in with his plans for the future.
Meanwhile, the winger is believed to have become frustrated with his inconsistent playing time and wants to be guaranteed a place in the starting XI every week.

Tottenham plot Noni Madueke move after Aston Villa latest
Brown told Football Insider that Villa want to sign Madueke after the success of Marcus Rashford since his arrival from Man United in January.
Now, the former scout who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that Tottenham will be prepared to offer the winger regular game time.
“Madueke is a player I rate very highly,” he told Football Insider.
“I see so much ability in him, but at the moment it’s still unproven.
“He’s in and out of the Chelsea team, there are questions about whether he fits in the manager’s plans, and that’s not going to be good for his career.
“I think he needs to be playing consistently, and playing in a way that suits his assets.
“That’s something he’ll be looking at too, so if clubs are prepared to offer him that, he’ll certainly be interested in the possibility of a move.
“Tottenham are one of the teams who have been looking at him, I think Aston Villa have been too.
“From what I hear, Tottenham believe they can tempt him to make that move because they’re prepared to offer him regular playing time.
“He’ll be given the opportunity to make a name for himself and establish himself as a key player.
“If he can play regularly at Tottenham, there’s no reason why he can’t do that.”

Ange Postecoglou eyes Eberechi Eze swoop
Ange Postecoglou is keen to improve his squad in attacking areas this summer and is eyeing a number of potential targets alongside Madueke.
Brown told Football Insider on 5 April that Tottenham want to sign Eberechi Eze, who would be open to the move if his £60million release clause was met.
The midfielder has been a long-term target for Ange Postecoglou’s side after Football Insider revealed in May 2024 that Tottenham and Man City were watching Eze.
However, Palace are determined to keep their star man at Selhurst Park beyond the end of the season and are very reluctant to entertain talks about his exit.
