Tottenham in talks to sell two stars – sources

Tottenham are in talks to sell Giovani Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon before Friday night’s (30 August) transfer window cut-off, sources have told Football Insider.

Real Betis have made an approach to re-sign Lo Celso, 28, who is surplus to requirements in Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

Meanwhile, Spanish and Premier League clubs have enquired about a potential deal for Reguilon.

Sources say Tottenham would prefer to ship the duo out on permanent deals but loan exits are also possible as negotiations continue with just over 24 hours left in the window.

Both Lo Celso and Reguilon have not made a matchday squad in the new campaign as Spurs attempt to find new clubs for the duo.

The duo joined Tottenham in 2020 but have failed to establish regular first-team spots in the last four years and are now set to leave the club.

Tottenham open to loan and permanent offers for Lo Celso and Reguilon

Lo Celso remained at the club in the 2023-24 campaign, notching two goals and two assists in 24 appearances – six of which came from the start.

He is under contract until the end of this season.

Meanwhile, Reguilon went out on loans to Man United and Brentford last term – and only featured regularly in the second half of the season after joining the Bees.

The Spain international is also out of contract at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
