Tottenham insider ‘delighted’ by ‘brilliant’ Tanganga as Hotspur Way development revealed
Japhet Tanganga will continue to thrive in the Tottenham defence while Cristian Romero sits on the sidelines.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Tanganga, 22, replaced Romero as Tottenham earned a hard-fought 2-1 win over Leeds on Sunday.

Ahead of the Leeds game, Conte confirmed that Romero was unavailable after suffering a hamstring injury in Argentina’s World Cup qualifier against Brazil.
The boss also confirmed the defender will have another scan this week to determine how long he could be out.
Wenham admits he was delighted to see Tanganga start ahead of Davinson Sanchez and hopes this continues.
When asked if bringing in Tanganga was the right decision, Wenham told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild, “Yes, I was delighted.”
“I was really happy with that. He’s a player I’ve always campaigned for.
“Some people point to the Palace game earlier this season when he got sent off but I think he learned from that.
“Apart from that, he’s never let us down and I genuinely can’t remember him putting in a poor performance.
“He’s brilliant, very solid and I like that he is being played as a right-sided centre half.
“I think that might be his best position. I also hope Conte continues with him while Romero is sidelined.
“Personally, I think he’s better than Joe Rodon.

“I think Tanganga has massively benefitted from having those two weeks at Hotspur Way with Conte.
“I was fully behind that decision.”
