Tottenham insider excited about wonderkid Roswell after 'I spoke to a few coaches'

Tottenham youngster James Roswell is a “high-quality” talent who fans should be excited about.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

As per Wenham, four Tottenham youth stars played for England’s Under 16s as they beat Turkey’s Under 16s on 20 December.

Roswell, Jayden Meghoma and Sam Amo-Ameyaw all started while Han Willhoft-King made an appearance off the bench.

However, it is Roswell who Wenham is most excited about after speaking with some of his coaches.

“There are no negatives for Tottenham there,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“To have four players in a squad of 15 or 16 is a huge contingent of the group.

“Two of those have already played with the under 18s this season as well.

“Roswell is actually younger, I have done a bit of research on him. He started out as a striker but has been developed into a right-back.

“He seems to be doing really well. I spoke to a few coaches out him and they have been impressed.

“They said he’s already playing in the next age group up. So to be doing that for England as well suggests he is a really high-quality player.

“I think he’s one to be excited about.”

Tottenham are next in action against Watford on New Year’s Day.

They could rise to fifth with a win.
