Tottenham insider: Gil could join Premier League club after source's Traore update today
Bryan Gil could join a Premier League club on loan this month if Tottenham sign another winger.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
However, he is yet to score for the club and has only provided one assist across these outings.
Wenham claims Gil needs to “toughen up” and predicted Adama Traore’s potential arrival could allow the player to leave on loan for the remainder of the season.
The latest from a Spurs source today on the pursuit of Traore, Football Insider has been told, is that they are haggling with Wolves over the fee for him.

“Gil’s situation is interesting,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“One thing I will give him is his age. He’s young and he’s only been in this new country for five or six months at this point.
“He’s only 20 and he does need time to adapt to the Premier League, as all players do.
“That being said, if we were to sign someone like Adama Traore, I would not be averse to loaning out Gil until the end of the season.
“If he is to go, it would have to be to another Premier League side. It’s pointless sending him back to La Liga.
“If he’s going to be a player for us, he needs to be developing in the Premier League.
“I’m looking at clubs like Burnley and Norwich. He would go in there and be one of their better players.
“He has seven senior Spain caps already, it can’t be that he isn’t good. There is ability there, he needs to toughen up a bit.”
A Wolves source told this site on 5 January that Traore may be available for just £18million after being valued at £50m in August.
He scored his first goal of the season against Southampton on Saturday (15 January).
