Tottenham insider makes 'abysmal' claim as 'mess-up' feared
Tottenham must secure a comfortable win against NS Mura tonight as their “abysmal” European away record could continue.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Of their last 10 away matches over three European competitions, Spurs have only won three times.
They have already failed to win away at Rennes in their first group stage match in the Europa Conference League.
Last season, Spurs were notably dumped out of the Europa League after losing 3-0 away to Dinamo Zagreb after winning the first leg 2-0.
Wenham has warned Tottenham could even slip up away to tonight’s Slovenian opposition and urged Nuno to take no risks with his team selection.

“Our record in Europe, away from home, is abysmal,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Whoever we play, it always happens. We could play Mura away and we could draw 1-1. I’m worried about that game.
“That’s based on nothing more than me watching Tottenham for 30 years, I know what we’re like.
“At home it’s a different story. We can put out a weaker side, but not too weak, and get the job done. I expect a 3-0 or 4-0 win tonight.
“I’m confident we won’t lose but we must win based purely on the fact that we can’t guarantee we will win away from home.
“It doesn’t matter who it is when we are away from home, there is always that danger we will mess it all up.”
Mura sit fifth in their domestic league ahead of tonight’s clash.
Tottenham go into the game on the back of three straight defeats in the Premier League.
