Tottenham need to give youngster Georges-Kevin NKoudou another chance to break into the first team next season.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has found it extremely difficult during his first season with Spurs and has been unable to force his way into the starting line-up.
He completed a £9million move from Marseille in the summer transfer window and has made just 15 appearances across all competitions.
N’Koudou is yet to start a game in the Premier League and many people feel that his career at White Hart Lane could be over, or that he could be shipped out on loan.
However, the pacy winger has shown glimpses of real class and could be the missing ingredient that Spurs need next season.
Mauricio Pochettino has built a formidable squad, but genuine width and speed could be the one critical point.
N’Koudou has impressed supporters during his brief cameo spells and should be given another year with the north London club to force his way into contention.
Spurs are still competing for the Premier League title and are making progress under Argentinian boss Pochettino.
However, they failed miserably in the European competitions and failed to make either of the domestic cup finals.
Spurs may need to strengthen their squad next season and rotating players more in Europe could help them, which could in turn lead to more opportunities for N’Koudou.
The wide man has now had a season to adjust to the club’s style and looks like he could become an important player for them if he gets a run of games.
The Frenchman has shown a real desire to take players on and did show at former club Marseille he can be useful in front of goal.
In other Tottenham news, a Sky Sports pundit has delivered his verdict on the club’s title hopes.
