‘Tottenham make Destiny Udogie transfer decision’ after Thomas Frank claim
Tottenham are planning to turn down any offers for Destiny Udogie in the summer transfer window, according to their former scout.
Mick Brown, who also worked as the chief scout at Man United and Sunderland and remains very well-connected at his former clubs, exclusively told Football Insider that the 22-year-old is a key part of Thomas Frank’s plans.
Despite growing interest from clubs in Europe, including the likes of Juventus, Spurs are in a strong position to turn down any offers for the left-back.
This comes after Football Insider revealed in April that Tottenham are confident of keeping Udogie while Man City were keeping tabs on his situation.
As a result, City turned their attentions towards signing Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves, with Spurs refusing to budge over their lofty asking price.
Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider that Daniel Levy is reluctant to sell Udogie and any interested clubs would need to overpay to land a deal.

Thomas Frank makes Destiny Udogie decision at Tottenham
Tottenham are prepared to back Frank in the transfer market following his arrival earlier this summer, and have already proven their willingness to spend.
Brown, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that they are now prepared to back the boss in keeping his best players at the club.
“Thomas Frank will have a plan for every player in his squad,” he told Football Insider.
“After going in to replace Postecoglou, he will have figured out the nucleus of players he wants to stick with and build the rest of his squad around.
“There are a few players who have been regulars in the first XI, but aren’t stitched-on certainties.
“Those are the ones the manager is going to listen to offers for, but I don’t believe Udogie is among them.
“I’ve heard good things about him, he’s very highly-rated at Tottenham and the manager is going to stick with him as one of the pillars of his team this year.
“There’s interest in him just as there is in any top player at a club which has a bit of uncertainty about it – clubs like Juventus have been having a look.
“But Spurs are prepared to back the manager’s plans and from what I hear, they’ll be keeping Udogie.”

Spurs eye Yoane Wissa deal after Brentford stance revealed
Alongside their ambitions of keeping their best players at the club, Spurs have also set their sights on improving Farke’s team in the transfer market.
One player Frank is keen to land is Yoane Wissa, but Football Insider revealed on 15 July that Brentford will price clubs out of signing Wissa this summer.
The Bees have set a £50million minimum asking price on the forward, with Nottingham Forest also eyeing a deal after missing out in January.
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed that Tottenham could miss out on signing Wissa as Brentford will not let both him and Bryan Mbeumo leave.
