Tottenham have just agreed terms with ‘excellent Ndombele replacement – pundit
Pape Matar Sarr could be Tanguy Ndombele’s long-term replacement at Tottenham.
So says ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the midfielder on the brink of signing from Metz.
As revealed by this site on 23rd August, Sarr has agreed personal terms with Spurs and completed a medical ahead of a buy-to-loan move.

Spurs have won the race to sign the 18-year-old with a £10million-plus bid despite interest from Man United, Man City and Chelsea.
As reported by Sky Sports on 21 August, Ndombele wants to leave Spurs this month after being frozen out by Nuno Espirito Santo.
And Kenny believes that Matar Sarr could be a perfect replacement for Nombele once he returns from his Metz loan.
“He could be a long-term replacement for Ndombele if he goes,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“He’s still a baby, only 18 years old. So it might be one they are looking at for further down the line.
“He’s still learning his trade and that step up from playing for Metz to playing for Tottenham in the Premier League is a different ball game.
“I’m sure he’s an excellent player and Spurs have bought him and sent him back out on loan for a reason.

“These players, if you are going to get them, they need to go out on loan to play first-team football.
“He’s played a ridiculous amount of games for an 18-year-old so it will be interesting to see how he does.”
