Tottenham must finalise Micky van de Ven deal now after what his agent said
Thomas Frank’s fears of losing one of his most important players are only going to increase as the rumours swirl at Tottenham.
Tottenham were saddened by Son Heung-min’s exit during the summer, and the South Korea international is now loving life over in the MLS with LAFC.
However, other than the winger, Spurs were able to keep hold of many key figures, and as one of his last acts, Daniel Levy splashed the cash on the likes of Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus, and Mathys Tel.
Cristian Romero was heavily linked with leaving Tottenham, but ever since the transfer window closed, the talented centre-back has spoken openly about his love for the club and his future in North London.
He is not the only star linked with a move away, though.

Spurs must secure Micky van de Ven amid Real Madrid whispers
Mick Brown told Football Insider in April that Micky van de Ven would want to leave Tottenham if Real Madrid made an offer, but a move never materialised for the Dutchman.
Now, just a few months later, Tottenham are planning for contract talks with Van de Ven, Mick Brown told Football Insider, even though his current deal is active until the summer of 2029.
It is absolutely crucial Spurs find a way to tie Van de Ven down on a new contract. He is without a doubt one of their best, and most valuable, players, and if the Londoners are to progress, keeping him will be key.
However, there is absolutely no guarantee the defender will want to put pen to paper on a new deal, especially if there is the prospect of Los Blancos coming calling, and his agent will certainly make him believe that is a possibility.

His agent, Jose Fortes, also represents Liverpool‘s Ryan Gravenberch and Bournemouth‘s Justin Kluivert, and the former has already been linked with a move away from Anfield due to his recent exploits.
What Jose Fortes has already said about Real Madrid signing Van de Ven
Fortes has made no secret of his opinion on the matter, saying back in April [Marca]: “Micky also has the level to play one day in a big club like Real Madrid. In addition, Madrid need a player behind him with his characteristics.”
With Madrid already on the mind, it would not be a surprise if Van de Ven were to be heavily linked with an exit once again ahead of the winter transfer window, and there is only one way to stop the rumours.
Of course, that would be in the central defender puts pen to paper on a new deal in North London, but if the La Liga giants truly are interested, his agent would likely do everything in his power to make a move materialise.
