Tottenham news: Giovanni Lo Celso’s ‘attitude stinks’ and his ‘disastrous’ Spurs career is over – insider

Giovanni Lo Celso’s Tottenham career is over after he joined Villarreal on loan.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Lo Celso, 25, joined the Spanish side on Monday (31 January) after struggling to make an impact under Antonio Conte.

The midfielder only started two games for Spurs after Conte arrived earlier this season.

Wenham, who is well connected at Spurs and has sources at the club, hopes Lo Celso will never play for Spurs again after hearing reports from people who work at the club.

“I have faith that Lo Celso will secure a permanent move to Villarreal or another team in La Liga at the end of the season,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I think he will do enough to show he can be useful in that league. He is surrounded by other South American players and he knows Juan Foyth, who made the move to Villarreal in the summer.

“I don’t think he will return to Tottenham. His move has been a disaster.

“For the money we spent, what positive memories do I have of him? There was goal against Man City but apart from that I have nothing to look back on.

“He had the same impact as someone you pick up for £3million, not your second-most expensive ever signing.

“He was constantly injured and all I’ve heard from people at the club is that his attitude stinks.

“So I’m pleased he has moved on.”
