Tottenham news: Levy told ‘give Conte everything’ after Insider’s Dejan Kulusevski claim

Tottenham must back Antonio Conte so he can sign more players like Dejan Kulusevski.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the Sweden international’s start to life at Spurs.

Kulusevski scored his second Tottenham goal as his side beat Leeds United 4-0 on Saturday (26 February).

The 21-year-old ran riot against the Whites in what was his sixth appearance since joining Spurs on loan from Juventus.

Spurs insider John Wenham told this site on Monday (28 February) the signing of Kulusevski was a “phenomenal piece of business”.

Kenny insists Conte must be allowed to make similar signings by the club.

“This is all Conte, he knows what he’s doing,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He has proved that so many times and it looks like he’s got himself another good one here.

“Scoring against Man City and Leeds is a great start to your Tottenham career.

“They were big goals as well so it looks like a great signing for Tottenham.

“The key is to let Conte do this more often. Give him everything he needs to sign another Kulusevski.

“Trust him and back him, that’s all Tottenham need to do and they barely did it in January.

“Hopefully Kulusevski keeps performing and Tottenham realise what Conte is worth.”

Kulusevski’s first Spurs goal came against Man City in his new side’s 3-2 win at The Etihad on 19 February.

He also assisted Harry Kane’s late winner in that game.
