Tottenham news: Pundit issues Antonio Conte and Daniel Levy talks claim after source’s quit latest
Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted Antonio Conte is building something special at Tottenham but need to be more consistent.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker suggested Conte may have a great relationship with Daniel Levy despite his controversial comments in the press.
As quoted by Sky Sports after their 1-0 loss to Burnley last night (23 February), the Spurs boss questioned whether he is the right man to lead the club.
It comes after last week (17 February), as relayed by the BBC, he claimed the squad had been “weakened” in the January transfer window.
The Italian later clarified his comments insisted he was talking about quantity rather than quality.
A French source told Football Insider last Friday (18 February) Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring Conte’s situation as he eyes a quick exit from north London.
“We don’t understand the relationship between an owner and a manager,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“For all we know, they speak every day and have a good chat. I can tell you that is very normal.
“Sometimes foreign managers can be mistranslated but if I was with Conte I’d tell him to stop doing interviews. Daniel Levy should say ‘If you get asked a question, relate it to how the team is performing and what changes you might make but don’t talk about transfers’.

“That starting team of Spurs looks very good on paper. Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski look like promising players. They are building something and the fans can see that from the Man City game.
“They just need the consistency now. They should have put in a good performance in Burnley in what was always going to be a tough game.”
