Tottenham news: Robinson slams ‘pathetic’ Son Heung-min after ‘laughable’ footage emerges
Paul Robinson has slammed Tottenham forward Son Heung-min after his “pathetic” actions against West Ham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-White Hart Lane number one was less than impressed by 29-year-old’s reaction when Kurt Zouma kicked the ball at him.
As shown on Sky Sports (21 March), Son went down after Zouma kick the ball at him out of frustration, albeit tamely.
Sergio Reguilon reacted angrily to the incident and sparked between the two sides.
Robinson claimed the scenes do not set a good example for children, who will wrongly see Son’s actions as acceptable.
“It was pathetic,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“We all know what a talent Son is but that was laughable. To think that the players went over there and backed him up, rather than tell him to get up… You do not want to see in the game.
“What example does that set for kids around the world? Kids will be playing in the park and copying these players. They will be diving all over the place and think that it’s acceptable.
“Players have to remember that they are role models. To behave like that was nothing short of pathetic.”

Son was the match-winner for Spurs on Sunday as they kept their top four hopes alive with a 3-1 win over the Hammers.
The South Korea international has contributed 14 goals and seven assists this season.
