Tottenham Hotspur fans are delighted with manager Mauricio Pochettino after he made the big call to drop attacking midfielder Dele Alli from his starting XI for the Premier League showdown with Brighton.
Spurs play Brighton at Wembley tonight and will be looking to build on their emphatic 5-1 victory over Stoke on Saturday.
Alli has endured a difficult start to the season and has been dropped from the side in favour of Erik Lamela, who is making his first start after a 13-month spell on the sidelines with a serious hip injury.
Tottenham fans were overjoyed with the news and took to social media express their excitement.

Tottenham are looking to put the pressure on their top-four rivals Liverpool and Arsenal, who are both also in action this evening, in the race to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Pochettino’s side could actually move back in to the top-four if they win and Liverpool and Arsenal both drop points.
It is the first meeting between the two sides in the Premier League and the first league meeting between the two sides since April 1983 – which Brighton won 2-1.
Spurs have won their last two meetings against, winning 2-1 in an FA Cup third-round tie in 2004/05 and 2-0 in an EFL Cup fourth-round fixture in 2014/15.
In other Tottenham news, Pochettino must sign this goal machine in January for Spurs to win the Premier League title.
