Tottenham player ratings v Southampton: International duo struggle in 5/10 displays

COMMENT
Harry Kane’s 99th Premier League goal helped Tottenham secure a point in their 1-1 draw away at Southampton on Sunday.
The Saints took the lead in the first half when Ryan Bertrand broke past Serge Aurier on the left flank to deliver a drilled cross across the box, which was inadvertently turned into the goal by the outstretched leg of Davinson Sanchez after his lunge to try and stop the ball.
However Kane spared his team mate’s blushes not long after, rising highest to head home three minutes later after a corner delivered by left back Ben Davies.
It was a clash lacking in too many clear cut chances for either side, although both Dele Alli and Erik Lamela should have done better when the ball fell their way in the opposition box.
The result leaves Spurs sitting fifth in the Premier League table, two points behind fourth placed Liverpool who now have a game in hand over Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
So how did the Lilywhites get on in their clash on the south coast?
Here, Football Insider rates the Spurs players out of 10 for their performances at St Mary’s, including an international duo who failed to impress in their 5/10 showings.
