Tottenham player ratings v Juventus: 25-year-old stars as Spurs disappoint in defeat

Midfielders

Mousa Dembele- 6: After his dominating display against Juventus in the first leg, the Belgian lacked the same sort of impact at Wembley, although luckily for his team mates he was rarely needed during the first half. However they could have done with his power as the game wore on.

Eric Dier – 6: A bright start looked as though it might come to a premature end after he was floored by the Italians, but he got up, shook it off and put in another solid display in the middle of the park. Few of the Juventus players got by him before he was hooked in place of the attacking Erik Lamela.

Christian Eriksen – 7: Keeping Spurs ticking over in between midfield and attack with his playmaking talents, he was crucial in how the home side operated. Not a flashy performance but an effective display nonetheless.
