Tottenham player ratings v Juventus: 25-year-old stars as Spurs disappoint in defeat

Heung-min Son – 8: The South Korean was a constant thorn in the side of Juventus during the first 45 minutes with his pace and dedication to the cause, and his persistence paid off with a somewhat fluke of a goal, hitting the ball into his own leg to bounce it over Gigi Buffon and into the back of the net.

Dele Alli – 7: A bright start saw him at the centre of Tottenham’s attacks during the first half, as he drove on with purpose. His impact waned as the game wore on, and was eventually replaced for Fernando Llorente.

Harry Kane – 6: Led the line well with a powerful performance which constantly posed a threat to the Juve backline, but he found his shooting boots missing throughout the game when they needed him the most. A disappointing display for one of Europe’s top forwards.
